Pyramid Head

These figures usually done come with bases, so I had to make my own. These are basic wooden plaques from the craft store.

To make the tiles, laid down a decent layer of automotive spot putty, and carved out the lines. I chose spot putty because it dries fast and is easy to sand.

Once dry, I sanded over all of it, to get a flat surface with imperfections. And then I chipped away at the corners.

For paint, I started wtih black, to get every spot, and then worked my way up, going lighter and lighter.

These Models come in several pieces. You need to assemble them yourself, including creating your own mounting hardware.

In this case, I had to do a few fixes. The tip of Pyramid Heads helmet was missing. It could have been an imperfection in the cast, or was missing entirely. Either way, I had to build that.

Once everything was assembled and ready for paint, I primed the pieces, and checked for imperfections.

There were a few imperfections in the seams, so I touched them up with more putty.

Then the paint process. I started with black, to get every crack, and then worked my way up to the lighter colors. The lighter I went, the lighter I pressed, to make sure I only got the highest spots.

Once painted, I assembled the last few pieces, attached it to the base, and gave it all a coat of clear.
